The Workhorse of High-Rail Grinders
The Loram RGT is the workhorse of the high-rail grinding machines. This compactly built powerhouse enables the processing of all clearance profiles, all common track gauges and even the tightest curve radii without restrictions. Its integrated measuring technology provides essential data to the Machine Control Supervision Software with the basis for supporting state-of-the-art infrastructure and asset management.
The RGT is equipped with rail travelling gear that is also hydrostatically driven. The grinding unit is equipped with 12 spindles, each delivering 12 kW of power, suitable for short-pitch corrugation grinding and the profiling of both grooved and Vignole rails. A dust vacuuming and a water spraying system installed on the machine provide a dust barrier and a fireguard against smoldering fires. With a working speed of up to 5 km/h, the RGT provides a strong and safe rail maintenance option to deliver a cost-effective rail program.
