Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is pleased to announce that its manufacturing group has won the Minnesota Governors Safety Award for 2009. This is an award that Loram has now achieved in thirteen of the last fourteen years. This years award is for Outstanding Achievement in Safety. This award is highly sought after, and is awarded by a panel of judges based on the following standards:
- Continuous safety improvement
- Quality of the company's safety program(s)
- Injury and incident rates
The winners of these awards are selected for their excellence in the categories above in comparison to similar industries on a state and national level. These awards are a great honor and achievement for Loram. The award will be presented in mid May at the Minnesota Safety Conference, and will be displayed in the lobby of Loram's Headquarters.
